Date of Launching

Egyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences and Applied toxicology (EJFSAT) was launched in 2000, it is a scholarly open-access scientific journal that deals with both forensic Sciences and toxicology and their related specialties. It is published quaternary by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology, Kasr Alainy School of Medicine, Cairo University. It delivers an open-access platform for medical investigators to publish their research as it accepts original papers, review articles, systematic review articles, case reports, short communications on an array of respective fields in both forensic science and toxicology, it also promotes scientific communication among medical investigators and researchers.

If you wish to appeal a rejection or make a complaint you should in the first instance, contact the Editor who will provide details of the journal's complaints procedure.

Speed of publication

Egyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences and Applied toxicology offers a fast publication schedule whilst maintaining rigorous peer review; all articles must be submitted online, and peer review is managed fully electronically (articles are distributed in PDF form, which is automatically generated from the submitted files). Articles will be published with their final citation after acceptance, in both fully browsable web form, and as a formatted PDF; the article will then be available through the Egyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences and Applied toxicology. 

Flexibility 

Online publication in the Egyptian Journal of Forensic Sciences and Applied toxicology gives you the opportunity to publish large datasets, large numbers of color illustrations and moving pictures, to display data in a form that can be read directly by other software packages so as to allow readers to manipulate the data for themselves.

EJFSAT's article processing charge

There are no fees for the journal.
Submitted manuscripts are reviewed initially by the EJFSAT editorial board. Manuscripts are then evaluated according to the following criteria: 

  • Topic: relevant to the scope of the journal.
  • Objectives: explicitly stated.
  • Language: clear and scientifically valid.
  • Study methods: appropriate and described in an easily understandable way.
  • Results: objective and reliable.
  • Discussion and conclusion: reasonable and supported by the data.

Manuscripts that will not follow these criteria shall be rejected promptly.

The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional plagiarism-checking software. Submitted manuscripts with an unacceptable similarity index resulting from plagiarism are rejected immediately.
